Daniel Alexander Smith, Assistant Director
Daniel joined the Alliance in the summer of 2016. Though relatively new to Boston, he has worked with a variety of arts organizations including DTR Modern Galleries, the Kinsey Institute, and the Georgia Museum of Art. In addition, he taught undergraduate art courses at Indiana University, where he completed a graduate fellowship. Outside of work, Daniel is an active artist. He exhibits locally and internationally at venues including Boston Cyberarts, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the CICA Museum in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, the Festival Internacional de Linguagem Eletronica in São Paulo, Brazil, the Athens Digital Arts Festival in Athens, Greece, Besharat Gallery in Atlanta, The Carnegie Arts Center in Cincinnati, and the Center for Fine Art Photography in Ft. Collins. Daniel’s passion for art drives him to continually pursue new avenues of collaboration, such as the virtual art archive, Paper-Thin
, which he directs and curates. His research in the arts has been funded by Boston Cyberarts, Ideas for Creative Exploration, The University of Georgia, and Indiana University.
