Kelly Hines, Teacher and Theatre Director, Thayer Academy
Kelly Hines is a teacher and theatre director from the South Shore. Currently teaching choral music and theatre arts at Thayer Academy, she began her career with 17 years in the wilds of public middle school English classrooms. Directing credits include West Side Story, Twelfth Night, Hairspray, Almost Maine, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, adaptations of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and Little Women, as well as her own original plays Wherefore Art Thou and #ChoosingElla. As an actress, Kelly was recently seen on the South Shore as Betty in White Christmas, Myra in Deathtrap, and Mary Bailey in It’s a Wonderful Life. Kelly is a member of the Board of Directors of the Company Theatre in Norwell, and a proudly tenacious mother to two teenage daughters.
